Feeling better and 2 month stats

Yes, I am a little late posting Paige's 2 month stats!  Hopefully, the sick days are behind us.  Olivia has been feeling much better and we are working on Paige.  She is still having tummy trouble, so I am currently dairy, soy, egg, and nut free.  If this doesn't help, I will probably also eliminate wheat and see a GI specialist.  We will see...  Luckily, she is growing great!  At 2 months, she was 10 pounds, 2 ounces and 21 inches long.  She had an appointment last Friday and was up to 11 pounds, 5 ounces, so she gained over a pound in 2 weeks!

I love Paige's expression in this picture:

Speaking of babies growing fast, I found this picture while organizing some of the ones we took when Paige was born:

And here she is 2 months later:

Growing so fast!

Sick days

If you are anywhere near Dayton, stay far away from our house!  Paige was sick with a virus last week and Olivia tested positive for both strands of the flu today.  Plus, she has a double ear infection.  Poor girls, they are both on Tamiflu.  The pediatrician was very concerned about Paige getting the flu when she's not quite over the virus.  So, we are holing up this weekend and focusing on getting better!

We did manage a few pictures on Valentine's Day:

On the road again...

The girls and I headed to Johnson City the first weekend in February for a quick visit.  Paige got to meet a few relatives for the first time and Olivia had a blast visiting friends and family.  We also got to experience something we haven't seen since leaving Colorado:  SNOW!  Oh my, Olivia was in heaven.  Unfortunately, we didn't have any snow clothes with us.  I ended up putting on every article of clothing we brought on her and she borrowed a few from her cousins.  Poor uncle Brett ended up carrying her up the hill quite a few times, because she was wearing Aubrey's rainboots.  Rainboots don't get much traction in the snow!

Olivia drove everyone crazy, wanting to build a snowman.  The other kids were more interested in sledding, so I got out of the car (Paige and I didn't have snow clothes, either!  We sat in the warm car) and helped her build a small snowman.  I ran back to the car to get the camera.  When I got back, she had invited Aiden to help her smash it, ha!

We were trying to get a picture of all the kids together.  I had just told Olivia we had to leave.  This is the look she gave me:

Finally, a good one:

Paige was making some really funny faces while Maggie was holding her one night:

She also fell asleep on Aubrey (note the dress up clothes!):

We had a great time!
In other news, Michael and I are still trying to give Olivia special attention.  So I decided to try out a Pinterest inspired project Saturday.
Canvas with her name spelled out in painter's tape:

3 different paint colors (pink, purple, and yellow- her choice):

Paige was very interested in the progress:

Ta-da!

Fun stuff!
Look what we found:

She looks thrilled, doesn't she?  Poor pumpkin has been battling a diaper rash pretty much since birth.  I ended up putting her in cloth diapers earlier than I intended.  It does seem to be a little better, but not completely gone.  She has her 2 month appointment Friday (can you believe it?!) and I'm hoping her pediatrician will have more recommendations (we already tried everything he said at her 1 month appointment!).
Hope you have a good week!

Back to Normal?

If I'm completely honest, I was dreading the first 6 weeks with a new baby.  Those are the hardest, right?  Not that I don't love snuggling with a newborn, but it's a huge adjustment.  We are still adjusting, but we do seem to have found a new normal.  We even ventured out of the house this week!
Olivia has been much better this week.  She didn't like it when she went somewhere with Daddy and Paige and I stayed behind.  We are venturing out as a family and she has been much happier.  She has been asking to go bowling, so we gave it a whirl last weekend:

She loved it!  She loved it more when Michael found the kiddie ramp that helps her "steer" the ball (that along with the bumpers gave her a pretty good score!):

This is what Paige and I did while Daddy and Olivia bowled:

I had my 6 week check up, where I was released from restrictions.  Which means I don't have any more excuses, time to start exercising and get this baby weight off!  To get started, we met one of Olivia's friends from school and her mom at a walking track.  Olivia and her friend rode their bikes for 2 miles (with a few stops here and there)!

Baby girl has started smiling:

She is pretty strong for a 6 week old- she's been trying to hold her head up since she was a month old.  She does pretty well during tummy time:

I spend much of my time with 2 little girls on top of me:

You didn't think I'd let this baby go too long with only 1 hat that fits, right?

Yesterday, Olivia was applying a temporary tattoo that Mom got her when Paige was born.  This particular one said "Angel."  She asked me what it said and when I told her, she said "I'm putting this one on, because I'm an angel."  Michael and I both looked at her and she quickly said, "well, I sure look like one!"  Oh my word, what are we going to do with her? Ha!

Sneak peek...

The newborn pictures we had made are ready (a local photographer and I traded- I made her some hats for props and she took newborn pictures!).  She has a CD with the pictures, but we are stuck inside with this yucky weather.  She did give me a sneak peek:

Why does this make me want to cry?!  Love these sweeties!
