What we've been up to...

Summer is flying by and we are enjoying every minute of it!  The girls and I spend many days at Nashville Shores, where Paige is often more interested in a puddle of water than anything else:

I'm putting Olivia to work (yes, she wears a leotard 99% of the time when we are home, because she is always "practicing"):

The Kroger by the apartment has horse rides for a penny.  I bribe them to be good with a horse ride and it works every time:

Olivia still loves her gymnastics practices.  Paige doesn't love them quite as much:

Paige is becoming a little fashionista.  She is constantly putting clothes on and taking them off.  And shoes!  Don't let her see you trying to put up her pile of shoes that she gets out EVERY day!

A few nights ago, Michael asked Olivia if she wanted to go to the store with him.  Paige heard him and RAN to the bedroom to get a pair of shoes (Olivia's wedge sandals) and a bag (Olivia's Hello Kitty bag).  I grabbed the camera, because she was so insistent on going.  Daddy was not planning on taking them both, but she refused to be left behind:

And a video for your enjoyment.  Remember I mentioned she uses screaming to get her way?  Perfect example:

Olivia went to a painting class.  She did great!

Last Saturday was overcast and rainy, so we drove to Bowling Green (an hour north) to the Corvette museum.  Guess who wanted to go there?

It was actually really interesting.  You might have heard about it last February.  A large sinkhole caved in part of the museum and 8 corvettes fell in (no one was injured, it was very early in the morning).  They have extracted them and they are on display.  You could even walk right up to the sinkhole.  There was a kiddie area, so the girls were entertained.

I forgot to mention the girls latest obsession- chickens!  They visited with Pappy's chickens and have been obsessed ever since.  Olivia really wants a baby chicken for her birthday.  I told her it depends on where we buy a house (which we will hopefully be doing soon, we have a contract on our house in Dayton!).

We got to visit with Pal, too:

Olivia was determined for this donkey to eat out of her hand:

Future Farmers of America!

The girls had dentist appointment yesterday.  First time for Paige:

She actually did pretty well.  She watched Olivia first, then she sat on my lap for her "cleaning."

Random post today!  Hopefully we will have a "new house" post soon!

18 month (unproffesional) pictures

I realized today that Paige is fast approaching 19 months, so I pulled out the camera to mark her 1.5 year birthday.  I thought it would be cute to do something similar to Olivia's 18 month pictures:

I got my camera ready, Paige ready, set the chair up and this is the face I got:

It quickly turned to this:

So we hurried outside!  She's a stinker.  Luckily, she's cute.

Her language is exploding, which is so entertaining.  She has quite a few words (Ma-Ma, Da Da, body parts, animals, etc.).  She calls Olivia "Day."  No idea where that came from!  She is very independent.  When we walk somewhere, she doesn't want to hold anyone's hand.  Unless she comes upon a step or steep hill.  Then she stops, holds her hand up and yells "hand!"  It's cute.

We spent a week in east Tennessee over the 4th of July.  We visited and swam and hit a zoo.  Successful trip!

Waiting on the parade.  Olivia thought waving her flag really hard made people throw her candy.  Ha!  Paige was asleep until the band came through.

Daddy explained basketball to the girls:

We visited Bright's zoo the day before we left.  It's such a neat place.  From what I understand, it started out as a hobby (collecting exotic animals, ha!) and has grown to a full fledged zoo.  There was a 4 month old baby camel and we got to watch a feeding and pet her:

Then we fed the giraffes!

We visited the goats, who could also be fed.  They were wild!  I snapped this next picture right before the goat got Paige's entire fist in its mouth.  She was not happy!

Paige was not afraid of the snake!  Notice Olivia is nowhere to be found:

I actually forgot my camera, so these were all from Mamaw's!  Thanks for letting us borrow your pictures!
