A Graduate

Olivia is officially finished with Kindergarten!  They had a very cute program and graduation on Tuesday night.  I, of course, have tons of pictures.

First and last day of school:

The program included PreK- 2nd grade.  They were a little excited:

Top row, middle:

Her favorite song (she has practiced snapping her fingers for weeks!):

Paige did pretty good during the program.  Granny drove in for the night, which meant a new purse to go through!  A little picture book kept her entertained:

There are boys in their school, ha!  They were separated on stage, girls on left and boys on right.  I don't have many pictures of the boys. :)
After the program, the Kindergarten changed into their caps and gowns.  They got to march in to Processional music and the principal and dean of instruction also wore gowns.  Fancy smancy Kindergarten graduation.

We are so proud of her.  She is reading everything in sight and is confident in her work.  We couldn't have asked for a better Kindergarten experience!  Watch out first grade!

Winding down...

School is quickly coming to an end and we've been busy with lots of end of the year activities.  Field day was last week and it unfortunately fell on a day when the weather was cool.  That didn't stop the fun, though!

Olivia's school also has a home school umbrella program.  One of the homeschool Mom's planned the entire day and it was awesome!  The kids were separated by grade and there were several events for them to win ribbons (softball throw, sack race, soccer kick, 3 legged race, 100 yard dash, etc.).  Olivia won first place in the 100 yard dash and the 3 legged race.  She and her partner pretty much knocked out their competition, but whatever:

She is so proud of her ribbons:

Fun day!

We've been playing outside every day.  It makes life so much easier for Mommy when we can run off some energy outside!  Paige loves swinging with Olivia:

Speaking of Paige... she has been getting into some mischief.  Look at this face:

Looks somewhat guilty, right?  She still doesn't like me to be out of her sight.  So when I shower in the mornings, she either; a) stands outside the shower door and screams/cries or b) goes through the drawers under the sink (no worries, nothing dangerous in them!).  When I was drying off on this day, I saw her drop a Qtip down the vent.  I quickly took them away, but figured I better check out the vent.  Apparently, this has been a fun activity for awhile:

She also hates for her right arm to be in a shirt.  If her shirt is loose enough for her to get it out, it's out:

My best purchase so far this year has been a $10 bubble machine.

Listen to these giggles:

Graduation is next week!

May day

The girls and I have been busy going back and forth to Nashville on the weekends.  Michael is pretty busy with his new job and sometimes gets called in, so it's easier for us to go to him.  We have been enjoying some Nashville activities!

Like the Grand Ole Opry:

Olivia was SO excited to "go hear people sing."  She's holding a guitar shaped straw that they handed out to all the kids that night.  We waited until the last minute to get tickets, so we ended up in the nosebleed section in a "limited viewing" area.  Which actually turned out great, because Paige started wandering around and the immediate seats beside us were empty.

Vince Gill was there that night:

Trust me, that tiny speck is him!  We had a busy day and Olivia started fading almost as soon as we got there:

The loudest music in the world wouldn't have kept her awake:

Very rare for Paige to last longer than Olivia at night!

Speaking of Paige, I wrangled her hair into pigtails for the first time:

I can't handle the cuteness:

We get comments all the time about how much Paige looks like Olivia.  I, of course, realize they favor each other, but didn't think much about it until I saw this picture:

Same leg bent, arm in same place, same expression... yes, they favor each other!  Paige still idolizes her big sister:

At a doctor's appointment last week:

Paige is OBSESSED with the trash can.  Missing a shoe?  Check the trash.  Sock disappear?  Trash.  I've dug my phone out at least 3 times.  She doesn't discriminate.  She loves all trash cans equally.  Toilets, too.  We have to keep the door to the bathroom shut at all times, or she gets the toilet brush and stirs up a huge mess.

She also likes to eat dirt.

Look how cute Olivia is in my glasses:

And that's the end of this random post!
