Michael is the type of person that just buys what he wants. Which makes holidays and birthdays especially difficult. I'm pretty much always looking for something for him that I can put away for future holidays and birthdays. So, when I saw a Groupon for a chance to drive a sports car, I jumped on it. I actually gave it to him on Valentine's Day as a joint gift, because I was excited. There is a race track right beside the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green (we went to the museum last year). This company travels to different tracks around the country, letting people either drive or ride along. There were different "levels" of cars to choose and I got him the mid-range, which let him drive a Lamborghini. He had to attend a safety class beforehand and we got there a little early, so the girls and I had some time to kill. They entertained themselves by playing in the rocks:
Then they saw Daddy get in line and ran to see him. Paige wasn't too impressed with his helmet mask:
Waiting for Daddy to get in the car:
He said he enjoyed it and got over 100mph, so I call that a successful gift!
This weekend was particularly fun, because these sweeties were in town at a conference and spent one night with us:

Snow, snow, go away!
We are home (again) with another ice/snow storm. School was out today (and tomorrow) and gymnastics was cancelled for the night. Since we were obviously not going anywhere, I decided its time to potty train! Paige is not a stranger to the potty, but she is quite stubborn. She is also easily bribed:
She was actually doing really well and had used the potty 4 times when we decided to go play in the snow. I have pull-ups, but she was doing so well, I decided to put Minnie Mouse panties on her (she loves Minnie). We all got bundled up and had taken 2 steps outside (literally, we were still on the front stoop) when she told me "Minnie's wet." Fun times. We did make it outside:
They both loved making snow angels. This snow was very powdery, great for skiing, not for snowman making! Here's hoping potty training continues, so we can finally be finished with diapers!
