The Dixie Stampede

We have been working on Olivia sleeping in her room all night by herself almost all summer.  With the baby coming, we need her in her own room!  She had a chart and she got 1 sticker for staying half the night and 2 stickers for staying the whole night.  Every time she got 10 stickers, she got to pick out something from the Dollar Tree.  When she got 50 stickers, she got to pick a place to go.  Her choice?  The Dixie Stampede!  She picked up a brochure for it the last time we were at Dollywood and has been obsessed.  She finally got 50 stickers (yay for progress!) and we headed to Pigeon Forge last weekend.  Mamaw was able to meet us there.

Anxiously waiting:

It was the first time Michael and I had been there, too.  It was pretty neat.  I had read ahead of time that there aren't utensils for eating, so I packed some plastic forks and knives.  Every time our waiter walked by us, he called us "cheaters," ha!

This next picture cracks me up.  Do we look excited to be there or what?

We did have a really good time!  Now Olivia only gets a sticker if she stays in her room all night by herself.  It's about 50/50 right now, but she starts out every night in her room, which is a huge improvement!

We got a Pottery Barn Kids magazine in the mail this week that showed some little girls in Halloween costumes.  She immediately picked the one she wanted (a winter fairy princess) and became obsessed with looking exactly like the picture.  The model has very curly hair and she wanted curly hair.  So, we decided to try rag curlers one day after her bath.  They're really easy- I cut up one of Michael's old t-shirts into strips, then used a pencil and the t-shirt strip to wrap up all her hair.  Apparently, her hair holds curls very well:

She had school that morning and you should have seen her flounce in there with her curls!  Now she asks to curl her hair after every bath.

5 month preggo pic:

This picture was taken 2 weeks ago and I can't believe how much bigger I am now!  Olivia isn't the only one growing, ha!
